On the arms of countless celebrities, The Saturdays and Kardashians to name just a handful, it’s so, so easy to get handbag envy. I know we do.
The Hermes Birkin, would usually set you back well over £4,000, and is the ultimate dream handbag for any collector. For me the dream is for a bright colour pop shade like yellow. But when I spotted this darling (all be it in a more neutral shade than i’d hoped) at only £60, I couldn’t resist. This stone grey tote (also available in beige) by Aftershock is the ultimate treat, not only because it’s super affordable, but beacuse it’ll give you a taste for the structured padlock design.
The Daniella is slightly slouchier (the perfect in-between, for both casual and formal days) than the Birkin and comes with a super handy outside zip on the back. I love the faux animal-print texture that really brings the bag to life.
I think the classic glamour of it will be perfect with leather boots and a faux-fur jacket whilst it’s still nippy outside. The wearable nude shade means it’ll look great with the majority of your wardrobe, and come the warmer weather, will work effortlessly whether you’re teaming it with a blazer and chic shift dress for the office, or denim jacket and pastel pieces for those lazy summer picnics.
The Aftershock Daniella gets a huge thumbs up from me, and if I really, really fall in love with it, maybe it’ll give me the motivation to save for the real belle of the ball – the Hermes Birkin.
