In a montage of vintage florals, twee polka dots and a sprinkling of stars, stands cult British brand Cath Kidston. Specialising in home furnishings with a quirky take on the traditional English country house, the brand has become particularly popular in the last few years, even gracing the arm of future Queen – Kate Middleton.
Cath’s first store opened in Holland Park, London in 1993, after seeing a gap in the market, away from all the traditional brown furniture her parents used. The shop sold everything from brightly renovated furniture, to vintage fabrics and wallpapers, to embroided tea towels and today she has over 40 shops around the UK.
With their pretty-as-a-pea prints, these bags are great for everyday use, due to their sensible shapes, assortment of sizes and waterproof coating. The holdalls and overnight bags are truly perfect for that weekend away because of their reasonable size and charming appearance. Whereas the book bags are great for students or even to carry paperwork home from the office.
Anybody looking to vamp up their bag collection. The real feminine appeal in these, plus the great price tag, means that even if they’re a bit loud to use everyday, they’ll certainly perk up a rainy Monday.
