Lulu Guinness - The Brand

Inspired by both retro glamour and modern chic, Lulu Guiness’s fun designs have been labelled as “tomorrow’s treasures”. The British brand, which focuses solely on handbags, launched in 1989 to instant fashion world praise, with stores in London, New York and Tokyo.

History

Lucina Guinness had never had any formal design training before taking on the task of starting up her own fashion company. Instead, she used her own strong personality and style as the passion that fuelled the success of her pieces. Designing the layout and interiors of all Lulu Guinness stores, is another step she has taken to ensure the true character in her handbag collections are recognised.

Style

Bold, and fantastically brash, her most notable design is the Lips clutch. Available in a variety of vibrant, hot colours as well as snakeskin, metallic and diamante-coated versions, the striking shape, makes it this decade’s must-have for any self-confessed party girl.
