FENDI: Designer of the Week

Many things spring to mind when we think of Fendi. Luxury, extravagance, Carrie Bradshaw? The label that brought us the timeless 2Jour handbags, Fendi really is the top dog in the luxury fashion world. From vintage totes to contemporary shoulder bags, Fendi has come along way since it showcased its first collection in 1925…

Who?What?Where?When?

Started by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in 1925, the business was handed down to their five daughters until the talented Karl Lagerfeld came aboard to share designing duties in 1965. Fendi consistently produces some of the world’s most coveted “it-bags,” including the “baguette” (designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi) which debuted in the nineties and remains a hot commodity. The double-F logo was created by Lagerfeld in the sixties, and is a popular favourite amongst the elite of the fashion world such as Kate Moss, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Biel and many more. The double-F logo was even shaved into Kanye West’s hair several decades later!

Fendi is, without a doubt, at the top of the fashion ladder and there is not much us BagServant girls wouldn’t do to add to our precious Fendi collection. Check out Mrs BagServant’s favourite Fendi handbags - but be warned, impulse buying may occur! BagServant discovered Fendi 2 Jour back in July, we just love it!
